The Timing is Right to become an AI Hunter

Last week I wrote about the AI storage problem. The energy. The tokens. The search accuracy collapse.

I started Morphos AI like most of my ventures, build an A+ team, worry about problems later, searching for the right attitudes and competencies, some ups and downs, kissing a lot of frogs, looking for momentum, etc.; but, two years ago I got lucky and landed an A+ team. A team with talent, experience and most importantly, a chip on their shoulder with nothing to lose. This was hard, the hardest thing I've ever done in my professional life and the luckiest.

Together, we became accidental entrepreneurs, environmentalists, teachers, experts, speakers and now we are technology hunters, looking to eliminate one bad AI behavior at a time. Our first group hunt is big game: tokens. Between 80 and 99 percent of every enterprise vector database is redundant. Every duplicate gets retrieved, shoved into the LLM's context window, and billed to you as tokens you never needed to send. Redundancy is the root cause of the energy spike, the latency drag, the accuracy degradation, and the storage bill nobody can explain. The other AI infrastructure firms use a popular method called compression. It rounds off the precision of every vector and hopes the meaning survives. Compression, reranking, and hybrid search are band-aids.

I have been relatively quiet about Morphos AI for two years, writing about AI here and there, testing the waters. Well, after 20+ months of breaking my own toys, I have a breakthrough. Morphos AI has built AI infrastructure where redundancy goes on the extinct list and compression is not necessary, same goes for the other pests: reranking and hybrid search.

Naturally, we call our redundancy slayer Green Vectors™ (GV). GV is lasered in on energy, search accuracy, latency, and storage size; and, it's seamless to integrate, massively energy efficient, scalable, and of course, easy to use.

Entrepreneurial backstory of Morphos AI: When I started, I gave my Avengers of AI a blank canvas. No real direction, just beer—and I wanted everyone to dream. I told them to dream of where AI was going to be in 2026, 2028, etc.

The caveat was to dream of the problems of AI, not the beauty of it. I told them no one was funding us out of Silicon Valley, no one will expect an Arizona team to be magnificent, no one will believe we can build an AI infrastructure company in Arizona, etc. We did it being resource constrained and out of sheer will. We are in revenue, intentional and going to market.
